The ‘black yolk’ in the eggs surprised everyone
BEIJING: For the past month, pictures of pet goose eggs that have turned yellow instead of yellow have been circulating on Chinese social media.
The photos and videos were shared on the Chinese social media site Weibo by a man named “Zhou” from Hangzhou.
In his post, he wrote that these eggs were given by a gray goose which was kept by a friend of his on his “goose farm”. The yolks of the other goose eggs on the farm are yellow. At present no one knows why the yolk in these eggs is black.
However, some social media users have suggested that there may be several black mulberry plants near the farm, from which the swan may have eaten dozens of black mulberries at the same time. Some egg yolks have turned black.
There is nothing unusual about these eggs except the black yolk. Their shell is similar to other goose eggs, while their whiteness and aroma are just right. That is, these eggs are not rotten.
The news was so shocking that even experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have been forced to take an interest in it and have approached Zhou to unravel the mystery of egg yolk blackening.
The news so far is that the Chinese experts have taken these eggs with black yolk and have started analyzing them.
