Special Pakistan Air Force plane leaves for China for Corona vaccine
ISLAMABAD: A special aircraft of Pakistan Air Force has left for China to bring Corona vaccine.
According to Express News, the Pakistan Air Force’s IL-78 special plane left Noor Khan Air Base for the Chinese capital Beijing to bring the Corona vaccine. The first batch will bring 500,000 doses of the corona vaccine. The Chinese Prime Minister will hand over the donated corona vaccine to Pakistan. Which will be applied to doctors and medical and non-medical staff serving in hospitals.
Corona vaccine from China is being brought to Pakistan in special cold boxes filled with dry ice. On the other hand, all necessary steps have been taken for storage of vaccine in Islamabad. All arrangements have also been made for the transfer of vaccines to the provinces, Vaccine Neuro Centers have been set up at the NCOC and Vaccine Coordination and Administration Centers have been set up at the provincial and district levels.
Yesterday, Asad Omar, the federal minister for planning and head of the NCOC, tweeted that the Corona vaccine would be available from February by the Global Alliance Quakes for vaccine delivery. Pakistan will get 6 million vaccines by March. All 17 million doses will be received in the first half of 2021.
