LONDON (PA) – Prime Minister Johnson will cut short a visit to India due to the high rate of corona in India. According to the program, the Prime Minister was scheduled to pay a four-day visit to India later this month, but after talks with Narendra Modi’s administration, most of the meetings will now be completed in a day. Corona disease is on the rise in India and more than 180,000 corona patients have been diagnosed in India since Tuesday. Thus, the number of confirmed cases of corona in India has reached more than 13.9 million while 172,000 people have lost their lives due to corona. Prime Minister Boris Johnson was scheduled to visit India in January, but the date of the visit was extended due to Corona’s intensification during the winter in Britain itself. The Special Spokesperson to the Prime Minister said that due to the Corona situation in India, we are in constant touch with the Government of India regarding the visit of the Prime Minister. As a result of the talks, the Prime Minister has decided to shorten his visit to India. Therefore, the stay in Delhi will be short. The visit includes high-level talks with the Indian government and businessmen. The spokesperson said that the details of the program of the visit would be released later but it would include a meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The spokesman said that the schedule of the visit would be announced later but No. 10 expected that most of the programs of the Prime Minister would be completed on Monday, April 26. This will be Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s first foreign trip since the Bridget Accords, and it highlights India’s importance in Britain’s changing policy.
