Indian Army Chief acknowledges Pakistan’s peace stance
New Delhi: India’s peace efforts in the region have also been introduced by India, the Indian Army Chief acknowledged Pakistan’s peace stance.
According to details, the Indian Army Chief has endorsed Pakistan’s peace stance. The Indian Army Chief said that the ceasefire on the LoC is the first step towards normalization of India-Pakistan relations.
The Indian Army Chief said that India wants to maintain ceasefire on the LOC, hopefully Pakistan has the same desire, the Indian Army Chief said that the ceasefire will benefit those living in the border areas, because the LOC Pak-India tensions on the C-side cause difficulties for those living on both sides.
The Indian Army Chief acknowledged that the three-month ceasefire on the LoC has brought about a sense of peace. It may be recalled that on February 25 this year, Pakistan and India did not violate the ceasefire on the LoC and other sectors. Agreed to do so, the DG ISPR said that the contact would result in a deliberate implementation of the 2003 ceasefire.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Pak-India DGMOs were contacted regarding the existing mechanism of the hotline, in which the situation in the LOC and other sectors was discussed.
The ISPR said that the current modalities of hotline communication between the DGMOs were discussed, the two sides agreed to resolve core issues, concerns and ceasefire in the LoC and other sectors for the sake of lasting and mutually beneficial peace. According to the spokesperson, the talks also reiterated the strict adherence to mutual understanding from the midnight of February 25-24 and agreed to resolve any unforeseen situation through the Border Flag Meetings system.
