Careless breathing on Mars can be life threatening
Did you know that if you try to breathe on the surface of Mars without a space suit, you could die?

Suppose you are an astronaut who has just landed on Mars, then first of all you have to think about what you have to do to survive. Obviously you need to have at least water, food, adequate sleeping space and oxygen.

You know, of course, that the air we breathe here on Earth uses the oxygen in the air, which plants and some other types of bacteria give us.
Oxygen is not the only gas in our atmosphere on Earth, nor is it abundant. According to scientific research, only 21% of our air is made up of oxygen. In addition, about 78% nitrogen is present.

This begs the question, why and how do we take in oxygen when there is so much nitrogen on Earth?

The principle is that technically when we breathe, everything in the air enters our body through our nose, but our body uses only oxygen following the established natural principles and when When you exhale, the other ingredients come out automatically.

According to scientists, the atmosphere of Mars is very thin and it is only 1% of the Earth’s atmosphere. To put it simply, air on Mars is 99% lower than on Earth. One of the reasons for this is that Mars is about half the size of Earth, while the other reason is that its gravity is not strong enough to stop atmospheric gases from entering space.

The most abundant gas in the thin atmosphere of Mars is carbon dioxide. It is the most toxic gas for humans on Earth, the most on Mars. Earthlings are fortunate to have less than 1% of our atmosphere, but the proportion of carbon dioxide on Mars is 96% of the air.

In addition, the oxygen on Mars is almost non-existent, that is, even one tenth of one percent of the air, which is insufficient for human survival.

In that case, if you try to breathe on Mars without an oxygen-suiting space suit, it is certain that you will suffocate first and then die.

Scientists have not yet found any evidence of life on Mars, but research is ongoing.

In short, there is an extreme atmosphere on Mars, where not only is there no air, but there is very little water on the surface. The temperature of Mars is incredibly cold while at night it stays above minus 100 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 73 degrees Celsius).
