A decade later, a Turkish president visited the United Arab Emirates
Abu Dhabi: President Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the United Arab Emirates on a two-day official visit, the first by a Turkish president in a decade.
According to the International News Agency, he arrived in Abu Dhabi from the United Arab Emirates to end decades of regional conflicts and strained relations, where he was received by Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan paid the visit at the invitation of Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who visited Turkey in November and expressed his desire to resolve the dispute.
Following Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s visit in November, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey announced 10 10 billion worth of investment agreements to help Turkey recover from a difficult period in the face of economic crisis and inflation. Expected.
According to Turkish media, President Erdoانan’s visit to the UAE is expected to sign 12 agreements ranging from media and communications to economic and defense deals.
The two leaders welcomed the meetings and agreed to continue talks for peace and stability in the region. There will be further high level talks between the two countries.
It should be noted that relations between Turkey and the UAE were strained during the civil war in Libya due to support of the opposition, which increased in 2017 when the UAE severed ties with Turkey’s ally Qatar.
